Since I haven’t posted anything for so long, to celebrate my return to Tumblr, here is a reblog of one of my favourite drawings. I have been so unbelievably inactive

It’s not even funny how little I have been drawing in the past year. I have so many unfinished drawings from the last few years, and haven even picked up my sketchbook for far too long!!

BUT, from now, this very second, I will do everything I can to change this. 

I endeavour to start sketching again, I can’t promise I will make any big detailed portraits any time soon (I am still busy with work), but I will start sketching for sure. 

You heard it here first, and if I don’t keep my promise, then I give each and every one of you permission to hunt me down and give me my due comeuppance.

To my old follows, sorry for abandoning this page.
To my recent followers, sorry for being all but a desolate archive of old drawings.

This is now to change.

Thank you, the pencil I use most is a 0.5mm Staedtler mechanical pencil with 2B lead. I find it is useful for both fine detail and bold dark tones…but I do use a range of pencils

I am so sorry, it’s been way too long. I moved country, and started a new job, and soon to start a new degree. Time has been short and enthusiasm to draw, shorter still. But I hope to return to drawing some time! Hopefully soon!!!

I’m fucking craving drawing

I just want to pick up a pencil and spend a couple hours drawing something. 

I love these moods, less so when I’m stuck at work all day though. :( 
Instead of drawing this weekend, I spent much of it cleaning up the house I was staying at now that the flood waters have receded.

I just want to draw. Damn.

I’m gonna draw this weekend

I played football last night for the first time in ages, it was great. But we played for about 4 hours, and in the last 10 minutes I managed to injure myself. No-one should play for that long, we’re not made for it. 

That or I’m just getting old (it’s my birthday next week).

But my new found inability to walk means I wont be getting about much this weekend. Which means I should have time to draw :) That’s a win, right? It’s been a while. 

I have my Angelina Jolie sketch that needs finishing. And also have old, old drawings of Hendrix and Ellen Page I might decide to finish at some point too :D
